Draft Experiment Complete - Thoughts?

Postby rcbeards » Tue Mar 27, 2007 7:22 pm

OK, this year I drafted third in our 12 team head to head league. We start the usual 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, catcher, 3 outfielders and a utility. Then 7 pitchers per week. Standard scoring system for hitting. Pitcher get 3 points per innings pitched, 1 point per strikeout, 10 points per win/save. Lose points for hits and runs. That being said, this year I decided to go pitching heavy and pitcher early to see what kind of team I could put together. Here are the results:

Round 1 – Santana - pitcher
Round 2 – Peavy - pitcher
Round 3 – Halladay - pitcher
Round 4 – Street - pitcher
Round 5 – H. Ramirez - shortstop
Round 6 – Damon - outfield
Round 7 – Harden - pitcher
Round 8 – Willingham - catcher
Round 9 – Cano - 2b
Round 10 – Ordonez - outfield
Round 11 – T. Hudson - pitcher
Round 12 – D. Young - outfield
Round 13 – B. Bonds - utility
Round 14 – Blalock - 3b
Round 15 – Glavine - pitcher
Round 16 – Igawa - pitcher
Round 17 – Cliff Lee - pitcher
Round 18 – Pavano - pitcher
Round 19 – Oliver Perez - pitcher
Round 20 – R. Shealy - 1b
Round 21 – Marquis - pitcher
Round 22 – Wheeler - pitcher
Round 23 – Wade Miller - pitcher
Round 24 – Phil Hughes (minor leaguer)

Since this draft, I was offered this trade: Papelbon and Vlad for Harden, Hudson and Ordonez. I accepted. What do you guys think?
