Comissioner problems

Postby TommyZND » Tue Mar 27, 2007 6:23 pm

The comissioner for my fantasy baseball league is taking away the stolen base category. He can still change it but can you guys give me some solid reasons for me to tell him why he should change it?

Basically, it's just too late to change the settings. I'm sure guys like yourself have planned their strategy with SB in mind.

I dont quite get what you mean by that post, but no he can still change the settings by tonight. Untill the players are on, you can change the settings for our league. I was just looking for some good arguements on why we should allow SB's.

SB is used as a stat to offset HR, so that player values better reflect real life value. Players like Crawford and Reyes become run of the mill without steals.

edit: According to baseballmonster.com Reyes would be the 50th most valuable player and Crawford would be the 108th best player, according to their 2006 stats. In normal 5x5 they are both top 12 players

Did he also remove a pitching cat? If he didn't 4 x 5 leagues stink because of the unbalance.

SB is a pretty lame category but to change it this close to the draft is even lamer.

What cat did he use to replace it? If he took it away reyes, ichiro, pierre, figgons and so on are worth alot less. Reyes would go from a 1st rd pick to 5th rd.

And he can change it until the first game plays. If you drafted then thats not cool. I see you didnt draft so make your changes and hope you made out well.
