I know that Isringhausen is injured, but someone just dropped him in my 12 team league and I'm wondering if I should pick him up and stash him. How long will he be injured for?? and should i drop john maine for him

no news on cbssportsline.com about any injury. i think he's fine, but you might wanna get another response before proceeding to get him.

He's not "injured" as in going to be on the DL to start the season, but he is struggling with the hip pain he suffered through all last year. He was pretty darn awful in post-ASB and in the playoffs, and I don't see why that would change if he's still battling the same pain.

I guess if you really need somebody badly and he's the only option out there, snag him up, but be aware of the risks that are there right now.

I'd take a shot with Izzy. LaRussa seems to believe in him.

He isn't injured and has been pitching. I haven't heard anything about his hip pain returning.

I haven't read anything that suggests the Cardinals are preparing for any scenario in which Izzy doesn't begin the season as closer. Reports say he feels good and is throwing regularly. He struggled with his control in his first couple sessions, but I heard he's happy with where he's at at this point. If you have a good group of starters and aren't counting on Maine to be a big contributor, go for it.
