Jon Lester, who is coming back after successfully battling lymphoma over the winter, will be placed on the disabled list tomorrow. The lefty had a rehab schedule mapped out for him that includes making one more start at the spring training camp before joining Single-A Greenville and making four rehab starts for manager Gabe Kapler. That will take him three-and-a-half to four weeks into April, when his status will be re-evaluated.

Right now, the plan is that he'll make 4 rehab starts at single-A and after that he'll either go to AAA or fill in as the 5th starter, depending on how Tavares pitches.

he's spending april in single A, i think. the plan's to bring him up sometime in may.
