Chris Duncan...

How does everybody feel about his potential this year with STL? Yahoo has him in the 1B/OF eligibility -- he'll be starting in LF correct? I know he put up some pretty good #'s with limited "at-bats" last year....

Or would you say Melky Cabrera would be a better pick-up??

I had Tankersley in hopes he would close for FLA this year, but now I just want to let him go and was thinking about picking up Duncan or Cabrera? Thoughts?? Thanks!!

He's the starting LF and I'd easily take him over Melky.

just the fact that he's batting infront of pujols makes him worthy. think back when rich aurilla was batting in front of bonds and shawn green infront of sheffield. they had career years but once the protection was gone, they turned avg. i think much of his value would disappear if he was to move to the bottom of the order or something.

Statistically, Duncan looks a lot like Ryan Howard did last year-- great HR/AB, but couldn't hit lefties worth a lick. Will lightening strike twice? Or is he really Pat Burrell?

That's the Million-Dollar Question, Boogster. I figured it was worth paying a $1 in my auction to find out. I hope he's more Howard-like than Burrell-like.

Im staying away from Duncan, I think last year was a major fluke...or at least thats what his minor league stats would lead you to believe.

I agree that last year was probably a fluke but if you can get him cheap it is worth gambling that it wasn't.

I wouldn't necessarily stay away from anyone who is slated to bat in front of Pujols.
