Javy Lopez Update?

I currently play in a 17 team league that requires two starting catchers- we really claw to get any production out fo these spots regularly (aside from the 8 teams that have one serviceable fantasy catcher). So with that in mind, does anyone know if Javy has any shot at backstoping anywhere in the near future? He's available in my league, and I'm tempted to pick him up, and bench him in the chance that he might "catch" on somewhere.

34 starting catchers is rough! I though I had it bad in a 14-teamer that starts two catchers. Anyway, Lopez has said that he doesn't want to be a backup so that doesn't bode well right now. But if there is nothing else available it might be worth a shot because somewhere along the line a team will get an injury at the spot.
