Duaner Sanchez out for 4 months...

04:49 PM - Health: Duaner Out At Least 4 Months

...posted by Anthony De Rosa...
Ed Coleman spoke with Mike and The Mad Dog a few moments ago on WFAN and explained that Duaner Sanchez has a hairline fracture and should be out at least 4 months

Not good for the overall depth of our bullpen. Good thing we continue to not trade Heilman and keep him in the bullpen.

im not very happy with Sanchez right now because he had some conduct probs and wasnt rehabbing the way he should. now hes going to thin our bullpen and put strain on all of the pitching. i realize the accident wasnt his fault but his conduct just makes this situation even more sour

Hopefully Burgos will be able to handle 7th inning duties, with Heilman not melting down in the 8th.

I think Burgos will make the team. I've thought it for most of the Spring. Mike & The Mad Dog were discussing it today, and are in agreement as well. Not that their word is worth more than mine, or yours even, but I do feel he will make the 25-man roster.

Yeah it looks like Burgos is going to make the roster after another solid outing yesterday. Willie had a lot of good comments about him following the game.

Joe Smith definetly looks like he has the good stuff to be the 7th inning guy. We'll see how he develops once the season starts. I doubt they thorw him in the fire right away.
