pretty nice team, i'd pick up matt mantei or brandon looper though, i don't think kim is going to be closing. I would hold on to kim though, he might turn out to a nice a starter
eugene, i have to disagree with starting pitching being weak. how can you say oswalt, morris, wolf and vazquez is not strong. they are all #1 starters(except wolf is #2) on decent-good teams. all have good upside. o well, i guess we are all entitled to our opinions, but with that pitching and the offense, i dont think this team is beatable on paper in a 12 team league.
Okay, I take back the coment about below average SP. It's basically #6, 8, 21, 24 (my personal rankings, but pretty close to TSN's rankings for these guys), so above average, but not by a huge amount. Also, I think that some of these guys are still a little overrated even on my list (mostly Wolf and Vazquez). Oswalt is great, but still a bit of a risk, considering his youth and his home park. Considering how good he is, he's worthy of being a #6 starting pitcher, but he's still a little risky.
Anyway, an above average offense and a risky, but above average pitching staff isn't any reason to competely lose faith in yahoo public leagues.
You definitely had a very solid draft, but in looking at the draft results, there are a few other contendas as well.
What I wanted to comment on, however, was A-Rod being drafted FOURTH. I mean, I love Vladdy and Bonds too, but c'mon, what's that about.
Schilling also went ahead of RJ. I wouldn't necessarily be shocked, but IMHO Schill showed more signs of age than RJ last year, considering what each of them did in the last two months of the season.
