If I were the braves I wouldn't have wouldn't have given Wainright for Drew straight up. There are better OF out there that can be had for less.

Being from nearby St. Louis....I was wondering why they'd deal Drew for Marquis and King -- as they could get better elsewhere.

If Wainright's included, great!

Was the deal Marquis, Wainright, King for Drew? If so, that's a pretty nice deal for the Cardinals.

Just saw the deal:

Drew, Marrero for Wainright, Marquis and King

Not a bad deal for either team. Marrero is a nice 4th OF and catcher (if Estrada doesn't pan out).

Walt Jocketty just said in the Press Conference that the Cards are going to look "at free agency or through a trade possibility to replace JD Drew"
