Dumb Question...Winter Meetings

Is the hotel closed to fans? With all the VIPs there I can't imagine people like us being allowed in there shouting "Beano!! What the hell are you doing letting Foulke go!?!?"

I can imagine someday planning a vacation to go check out these guys in action. Imagine seeing Gammons running around after Angelos and Epstein. Or Vlad and his mommy walking past.

Are fans allowed near these people?

just a guess....but only the press gets close
If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me.

Yes, with big conventions like this, a pass/permit is required for entrance.
