Is still a FA in my 6 team AL only roto non-keeper. Has he locked down the 5th spot? Or is Igawa #5. Anyone drafting Pavano....late.... in their drafts?

Thanks!

I have a SP who's gonna start the season on the DL so I think I'll grab Pavano to see how he looks in that first game.

Mar 25 Pavano is considered the front-runner to face Tampa Bay in the Yankees' opener April 2 at Yankee Stadium. Unlike the other candidates for the assignment, Kei Igawa and Jeff Karstens, Pavano would not require significant changes in his pitching schedule to be ready. "Obviously, it's exciting. It's opening day," Pavano said Sunday. "The fans have been waiting since the end of '06 for the start of '07, and so have we."
Advice: Pavano hasn't pitched in the majors since June 2005 due to a variety of injuries. The chance to make his return on opening day came about after Chien-Ming Wang and Andy Pettitte were both hurt last week.

But do you think if healthy Pavano is the #4 even after Wang and Pettitte are back? We only have a limited number of roster moves and I would hate to blow one on Pavano if they do not plan on keeping him in the rotation.

Thanks!

Dunno if I'd risk it in that case - I'm doing it because I can just dump him if he stinks or hold onto him until he gets injured.

if he's healthy, he's in the rotation. They're paying the guy over 15 mil a year to pitch. The Yankee rotation is this:

Mussina
Pettite
Wang
Pavano
Igawa.

Pavano is starting if healthy, but that doesn't necessarily make him a good starter...
you can't live the dream, if you don't play the game
