Will he open the season on the DL? Is there any news? I know he is throwing, but I am not sure when he is scheduled to come back. I would like to draft him late......

Thanks!

According to a Yahoo note dated 3/25/07 he had a great session, throwing about 50-60 pitches with good velocity and mixing in breaking pitches. Apparently he may not be ready for the start of the season, but I don't think that means a DL stint. I think he may just miss his first turn. As far as a late pick, I got him at pick 22, and I think that's going to turn out to be the steal of the draft. ;-D

I think he will be placed on the DL. I know he is ahead of schedule but I believe they will take their time bringing him in the rotation. As long as you get him off the WW or at the very end of a deep draft, I think he is worth a gamble.

Colon can be had in the last round and can be a complete steal for the season. Remember it was only 2 years back that he had a Cy Young year.

I think Colon is being overlooked in drafts... he is sitting on the FA wire in several of my leagues.

I am wondering what you all think of him. His rehab seems to be coming along more quickly than originally thought. Anyone want to ante up more predictions on what happens from here?

I picked him up in the 20th round. He's been doing really well in rehab and we know that the Angels are going to be contenders. He could end up being a HUGE steal.

He's not going to start the season. I'm hearing late April is when he may come back (at the earliest). I wish sportline would finally update his status to DL so I can pick up Hensley.

I got him off the waiver wire uncontested.

I just picked him up and stashed him on my DL. I'd say there's a pretty good chance he'll put up numbers that more than justify using a late round pick to snag him.

Gotta be soon.. I got him and see the Angels still plan on him pitching in late April or May for them..It's encouraging that he's touching 94 on the radar in his last session..Could be a huge sleeper..10+ wins..140+ K's..I think so ;-D
