14 teams: just added two new guys...am I getting there? WHIP

Just added Jorge Julio (dropped Tankersley) and Matt Murton (dropped Termel Sledge)...I know not the best but I think they are making me stronger. Where else do I need help or am I ok the way I am?

This is a long-term keeper head-to-head points league (we keep 3 each year). We can start all 12 of our pitchers at different times during the week (7 per day). Alot of lineup spots to fill and in a 14 team league that is tough but how do I look? Thanks and WHIP!

Starters
C - Martin
1B - Fielder
2B - Kinsler
SS - H Ramirez
3B - Cabrera
OF (start 4) - Bay, Franceour, Hawpe, Markakis
U (start 3) - Kotchman, Hart, Murton
P (start 7 per day) - Sheets, Kazmir, C Young, Burnett, R Johnson, Igawa, CH James, Danks, Nolasco, Fuentes, Dotel, Julio

Bench
C - Bard
1B - Eldred - hope he gets some OF starts eventually or gets traded
2B - K Johnson
SS - Tullowitski
3B - Helms
U - Podsednik

Minors - Homer Bailey, Tim Lincecum

I like your team overall. You have a lot of youth on your squad which is a good thing to have in a keeper league. Good luck!

P is fantastic and my only dislike is Hawpe. I just don't see him ever coming through...even with a ballpark like the Rockies...otherwise, Nice!

personally i love hawpe, i would expect nothing less than his numbers of 22 and 84 last year, other than that very solid team. maybe just need to improve saves...

Yeah I didnt focus on saves as much since it is a points league and I wanted a ton of good starters to throw each week. Hoping at least one of my closers performs close to a top closer and the other two do average...but more likely that Julio and Dotel crash and burn!! Thanks

I like this team. Solid up and down except for closers which you already commented on. I am also pretty high on Hawpe getting at least the numbers he put up last year. Thanks for the help as well

I'm fine with the closer situation, and Hawpe between Helton and Holliday. . . holy handgrenade!

If this is a keeper league keep your eye out on young SP. Who's on your ww? phil hughes, anibel sanchez, anthony reyes. . .

Nice pick with homer bailey. Is Felix Pie available?

Its a keeper league but we only keep 3 so I probably would only keep one pitcher, if any. Practically nobody is left on waivers. Mitre and Saunders are probably the best young arms left to give you an idea of what is there...no dice I would say. Felix Pie is gone. Thanks

thx for help

sorry i don't have much new to add, but i agree hawpe is fine and regarding saves you can always check free agents as the season goes, as there is a lot of turnover in closers. only thing i saw is speed may not be as good as other teams in a h2h but should be ok in other offensive cat's.
