Nick Johnson - Worth DL Spot?

I accidentally drafted him in the 17th Round, not knowing he had a broken leg, and isn't expected back until June. Anyone think he is worth stashing on the DL, in order to pick up a much needed closer, for saves, or even Sammy Sosa???

sure. there are probably no better free agents to fill that DL spot. maybe Juan Encarnacion?

I made the same mistake. I dropped him, but he still might be worth hanging onto. If your league counts OBP or OPS or Walks, which mine doesn't, then he's definitely worth having. One of the best on-base guys in baseball. But if not, and there's a decent option on the wire, cut your strings.

Stashed this sucker on my DL (4 spots in a keeper league). My league counts OBP and maaaaan am I going to enjoy this guy come playoff time.

why not worth the stash? if someone else gets hurt THEN you can drop him, but until then you might as well hold onto him. in leagues where ops, or ob % is counted, hes very valuable. even if your league doesnt, hes a solid guy for a util spot.

Yahoo placed him on the DL around 1:30 EST today. Yahoo is getting better about that, but maybe it's because I'm in a PLUS league?

I'm in a normal Yahoo league and NJ is on the DL as of today.
