An indie music guy... I love it!! I second nearly all of these, although I'm not a huge fan of Death Cab. Love the Cursive album, and the Leo album especially --did you get his solo one, "Tell Belgeary, Bulgury is Dead"? Do it.
If you haven't heard the New Pornographers new album, you should definitely get that, too. Both Mass Romantic and Electric Version are great, great albums.
Finger Eleven - Self Titled (I recommend downloading "The Good Times". You won't be disappointed)
The White Stripes - Elephant (Great CD, similar sound to the songs but once you know them they're easy to distinguish)
Ludacris - Chicken & Beer (He's awesome, and I wish I could repeat some lines on here but unfortunately I can't. He's the black Eminem IMO)
Styles of Beyond - 2000 Fold (Not new, but you probably havn't heard of them. Check 'em out)
Royce Da 5'9 - Rock City (Again, not new, but very good. Download "Boom" and "Rock City". He's "just another branch of the Slim-Shady-family-tree")
Sean Paul - Dutty Rock (Whether or not you can understand him, his songs are all really catchy. Like Glue is my personal favourite. And also, I know the main girl from his "Get Busy" video. She's hot.)
Bands/singers I can't stand:
Chingy - This guy is a moron and doesn't say anything worthwhile. He's what's wrong with rap music.
G-Unit - They're basically Chingy times 10, or however many guys they have. They're only famous because 50 Cent was shot 9 times.
Radiohead - Way too boring for me. I bought this album (no clue why) but it was a big disappointment. You might as well listen to poetry on tape if you want something at the same energy level that wants to be deep and thought provoking.
Linkin Park - Same formula for every song, and it's not a good formula. One guy screams really loud so he sounds like he's important; other guy raps the chorus; same guy repeats the key line twice. Can't stand these guys.
BOOYAKASHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
