My best team ever - please rate it! (WHIR)

I'm in a yearly 8 team yahoo head to head league. We use standard scoring and we also get to have 2 keepers from the previous year. The catch is that we will lose the same round draft pick we used on that player in the year before, and they must remain on the team roster for the whole year. We also get to keep these players for only one year.

My two keepers this year were Soriano in the 4th and Beltran in the 8th. Here is how my draft came out. I had the number 2 overall pick.

So now that you've seen my team, does it look like I have too much power? I usually lean towards SB guys more than power hitters, but this year I couldn't pass up on the power that was falling to me.

Also, do you think I will be fine with my pitching?

To be honest, your team looks monsterous. You may not win steals every week, but I don't see anyone touching you in nearly every other hitting cat. Even your pitchers look pretty damned good, although you don't have a clear "stud" guy, but two stud closers definately makes up for that.

Yeah, I agree. Your team is killer. I wouldn't worry about steals too much and you do have a lot to trade for if it becomes a problem. As said, you've got two of the best closers out there which one could fetch you whatever you need considering how fickle the closer position is. Great team over all.

I'd be extremely surprised if you didn't murder everyone in your league (it does help that it's only 8). I'm in a 10 and a 12 and will never do a 10 again.

You have great depth and amazing players at every position. I'd agree getting rid of Pedro would be a wise move. Plus keeping Liriano is questionable, since you're basically saying he's going to be one of the TWO guys you plan on rolling over next year. That's a bold move.

dude, if ya remember lookin at my team (prob not, but I had Papi & Howard), I love power, and your teams got alot of it. Your team looks very good. Good job!! Who cares if your weak in 1 category, you'll be dominate in 4 others.

I've never played in an 8 team league before, but I would imagine that your competitor's teams are stacked as well. However, your team is ridiculously good. Great in every category, my only question mark would be Hall at SS. I dont see him repeating what he did last year.

Eight-team leagues are hard to judge, because everybody basically gets and all-star team, but yours look good.

None of those free agents appeals to me in an 8-teamer.

And while I like your thinking based on draft round, keeping Liriano next year is way, way too big a risk.

Looks good to me. You could use one more high end SP and a better SS..but that is really just nitpicking. You've got a pretty good team there.
