Yeah, but seeing how he was making 2nd/3rd round picks back-to-back, he didn't take Rollins too early. Just about right, when basestealing shortstops come at a premium, especially one that could contribute in 5 cats like Rollins.
Nathan in the 2nd is outrageous.
Here's how the guy who took Nathan drafted:
1.08--David Wright
2.05--Joe Nathan
3.08--Roy Oswalt
4.05--Francisco Rodriguez
5.08--John Lackey
In addition, one other guy took 3 SP's in his first 5 picks and two others took two SP's in the first five picks.
Bonderman in the 4th was the real red flag for me in this league.
I agree that Rollins gets severely underrated by some--there was only one player in all of baseball who hit more homeruns AND stole more bases--Alfonso Soriano. That kind of power/speed combo, while scoring 125+ runs in that lineup, is easily worth a late 2nd round or early 3d round pick.
