ESPN hasn't reported this yet. If it's not confirmed lets just expunge this post.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Hours after Andy Pettitte signed with the Houston Astros, the Yankees acquired pitcher Kevin Brown from the Los Angeles Dodgers in a trade for pitcher Jeff Weaver and two minor league prospects.
The completion the trade depends on all players involved passing physical exams
The Yankees will also send $3 million to the Dodgers to compensate for Weaver's salary. Brown will make $15 million in 2003 and 2004. Weaver is set to make $6.25 million in 2003 and $9.25 million in 2004. The Yankees will pay $1.5 million each year to the Dodgers for the term of Weaver's contract.
Brown, who has a no trade clause, has expressed interest in playing for New York and has said he would approve a trade to the Yankees.
That's wierd. I've got DSL and I just refreshed my screen on ESPN and all I get is Pettite's lonesome mug and talk about a "possible" Brown trade.
Since the deal does look substantiated I guess it's time to prepare the goats for sacrifice again to ensure another Brown injury. (Although I'd take Pedro/Curt/Lowe over Moose/Brown/Vasquez any day.)
Oh, yeah, refreshed the screen again and now I see Brown ugly mug under the title "Yankees dealing with loss." Cry me a river.

To watch peoples responses to an event that hasn't happened. Once you spend some more time on this site you'll notice that people do it all the time.

This is getting really interesting between the Yanks/Sox. I guess the Sox need to make sure to get Arod now.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
As a Dodger fan, I can only hope this is true. I love KB, but he has a steady table reserved at Chez-dee-ell.
So....getting rid of his contract, which was awful to start with, and getting Weaver, who should be at least sane in Chavez, AND getting some of Dream-W's contract picked up, AND 2 PTBNL's (not that excited over any Yankee prospects) ...... is AWESOME!)
Thats half of the equation, now we just need to be smart w/ the buying half and not lock up (insert usual dodger-hacker here) for too much for too long.
If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me.
