Draft Strategy,
I traded down from #1, to #9 specifically to get Cabrera, wanted him since day 1 and was thrilled when he dropped. Based on our scoring and since its head to head, I really wanted 3 horses for starting pitchers.
I was going to go, Cabrera, best outfielder, then 2 pitchers. But, when Hafner fell to #33 I couldn't pass on him. So I follwed it with 3 starting pitchers.
Bill Hall was one guy I targeted at the start of the draft, knowing I would likely miss the run on SS's, his flexibility is awesome, same with Nick Swisher, he's a poor mans Berkman.
After the three studs, I just finished with best player available, plugging needs as I went along. Then targeted me sleeper Pitchers late.
Favorite Picks
Adrian Gonzalez in the 18th is phenomanal value, as he could start 1b over Swisher for me.
Troy Tolowitzki in the 21st, NL RoY candidate after being named the starting SS, again excellent value for that round.
As always, leave a link and I'll help out. Let me know what you think, I feel pretty good about it. A little light in the OF, but not that weak.
A little easier to see it this way too...
