Ortiz on ESPN

Is he going to gain 1st base eligibility before the season starts or do we have to wait for 5 starts? I drafted him and Pronk thinking Ortiz already had the eligibility and now I'm kind of screwed until he gains it.

Anyone know anything?

well pronk is supposed to gain 1b eligibility too after he makes 5 starts... but hes gonna play 1b once a week. I dont know about ortiz and to this point had not heard anything about him playing first until now...
