I think they take the money out upfront. That's what Greektown Casino in Detroit did when my buddy hit a bad beat jackpot for over $10 grand. He had his quad fours lose to quad nines in a 5-10 limit game.
$700 is a real nice tip for the dealer. When my friend hit it he was going to tip the dealer but by the time he got paid she was out of sight. Hehe. I got $100 out of it for driving him there that night. If I hadn't drove at the certain speed at got us there at the exact time that we did he probably wouldn't have hit that bad beat.
