Any thoughts on Olerud coming back this year?

He was a symbol of consistency until last year

I wouldn't expect a rebound at 35.

I would think that he's got to rebound somewhat. Probably not enough to warrant a spot on a fantasy team in most leagues though.

Although you assume the risk of him being on a permenant slide, I think the chances are pretty good that he returns to his prior form. He's never been a great option at first base in mixed leagues, but if you can get him on the cheap as a backup or utility spot I think you'll get a good return for your money (or draft position).

Consistency is right w/ this guy. I'd project between 285-305 ish w/ 18-23 HR and 85+ Rbi. Not super impressive, but very reliable, and won't kill you if he's all thats available for your corner infielder.
If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me.

I would only draft in a very deep league...
