I don't think Baltimore is trying to compete with the Yank/Sox. I don't even think they are all that worried about where they finish in the division. I think they are trying to put a better quality product on the field. That will increase ticket and merchandise sales, along with TV ratings, endorsements, etc. They are doing exactly what all teams should. Start at the bottom, build a solid team, and be able to compete with no money restrictions in the future. Solid business plan.
