What are the chances of him signing with the Mariners? Hes been offered a contract from them and as a M's fan I really want to see him in a Mariners uniform.

I'd say there is a decent chance. So far I'm hearing that Detroit, Baltimore, Seattle, and the A's are all wanting to sign him.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Angels GM Bill Stoneman said free agents such as Vladimir Guerrero and Miguel Tejada were "probably not" options after Anaheim signed righty Bartolo Colon. Angels officials confirmed their interest in free-agent first baseman Rafael Palmeiro, but said a deal was not imminent

Also, assistant GM Lee Pelekoudas described the slowly evolving talks with free agent shortstop Miguel Tejada as being "in a holding pattern."

right now, i feel the M's have the best chance. i dont really think that beane even wants to resign him and hes just saying maybe to keep people off his case. and doesnt baltimore do this every year? and what do they have to show in the last couple years? marty cordova and omar daal........

A high-ranking Orioles official told the Baltimore Sun said his team will definitely top Seattle's three-year, $25 million offer to Miguel Tejada.

lets say that baltimore did sign the two of them. where do you guys think their team would stand then? is it really wise to be hopeful of contention when youre in a division with the bosox and yanks as well as the young and hungry blue jays? those signings would still mean a 3rd or 4th finish. some of that money could be used to find some pitching.
