I have a one year old laptop computer with Windows XP operating system. I know I have some sort of java software because when I open up Baseball Cafe I can see javascript working on the bottom left corner where it says Done now that everything is loaded. Anyway in Yahoo where you click to check your system for live drafts it says my system test was unsuccessful. It says I need to download javascript software from Sun Systems. So I go and download the free software from the link. When I come back the Yahoo league page loads really slow and at the bottom left of my computer screen where it now says Done has a message that says Error on Page. I have a family computer that is older and one that I did not need to download any java software on that passes the Yahoo Live Draft Systems Test.
One other thing when I click on the Java Download the Java page says "This site might require Active X control J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 6." When I cllick on the download now button it says I need to download the Active X control so I do and continue with the download. When I get done I verify my installation and it verifies that I have downloaded the latest version of Java. I have Java Runtime Version 1.5.0_11.
Any ideas on why I am having Java problems or why I need to download any Java software.
I was not able to do a CBS live draft on my laptop but was able with the older family desktop.
What the heck is going on? My draft is in a week and I really need to be able to draft on the laptop.
Thanks. I'm really at a loss.

Thanks. Great advice.
I downloaded Firefox and that took care of my problems.
