ESPN Radio in New York is reporting that Pettite has signed with the Houston Astros.

Not good for the Yanks, but thats what the Boss gets for meesing around.

He made it obvious that he was going home unless the Yankees made him a substantial offer (14 mil or so), but the Yankess ahvent even made an offer all of this time, they kept trying to get him cheaper by feeling out the market.

WOOHOO! This means George will go sign Millwood or trade for Brown, but Pettitte out of NY is great. He's overrated, but he knows how to pitch for that city.

(I've heard the Maddux rumors, but they make no sense. Greg doesn't want to be in the AL.)

my 2 cents on maddux is he is gonna go to LA. He lives in Nevada and that park they have will assure him of getting to 300 wins.

About where would Petitte rate in terms of NL only 4x4 or 5x5 value for a standard $260 league, especially pitching in a hitters park?
$20 range or more or less?

I think more likely the yanks overpay for Brown. LA seems to be dead set on getting rid of either brown or Perez, although I wish the Yans would take Odalis.

Pettite gonna suck in Houston, but he's just happy he finally got to stick it to the boss after being on the trading block for 6 years.

I really hope they dont go do something as stupid as handing millwood a bundle.

And sheffield is turning into a fiasco.

Things are not great in Yankeeland, nosiree.
