Who will win week 1....

Postby csiesta13 » Sat Mar 24, 2007 12:34 pm

I need some opinions on my team - I think I will win week one but it may be close. What do you think?

My Team:

C- Joe Mauer
1B- Albert Pujols
2B- Josh Barfield
3B- Garret Atkins
SS- Rafael Furcal (Trade pending for Jimmy Rollins)
OF- Michael Cuddyer, Torii Hunter, Adam Dunn
Util- Richie Sexson
BN- Pat Burrell

SP- Chen-Ming Wang
SP- Jeremy Bonderman
SP- Anthony Reyes
RP- Takashi Saito
RP- Scott Proctor
RP- Bobby Jenks
BN- Brad Penny

C- Josh Bard
1B- Justin Morneau
2B- Robinson Cano
SS- Derek Jeter
3B- Adrian Beltre
OF- Hideki Matsui, Josh Willingham, Delmon Young
Util- Jim Thome
BN- Freddy Sanchez

SP- Brandon Webb
SP- Rich Harden
SP- Erik Bedard
RP- Trevor Hoffman
RP- Pat Neshek
RP- Joe Borowski
BN- Cla Meredith

I think I will come out on top, but injuries on my team are worrying me- Wang is out until the end of April, Mauer is having some problems, Furcal sprained his ankle, and Sexson is off to a slow start.
In a perfect world, we'd all be Yankees.

Here is how it looks by catagory:
Runs- tie (too close to call)
HR- Your team
RBI- Your team
AVG- His team (dunn kills)
SB- Your team

W- His Team
ERA- His Team
WHIP- His team
K- His team
Save- Your team

I don't know what the other catagories are, but his pitchers dominate yours especially with Wang out. the score looks like it is 5-4-1 favoring him.

alright, so as i break this down for you, offensively, i really think it`s gonna be close. Pujols, Atkins, and Rollins (If/When you get him) have to pull through for you because I see lots of potential in his team.

when it comes to pitching i think the only thing you have on lockdown is saves. His starters are just more rounded than yours. I like saito a lot and if jenks can keep his ERA down, then i like him too.

It could come down to you winning offense and him winning pitching, but it`ll be real close.
