My Keeper League team

I drafted the following team, keepers are marked with a *.

My pitching is weak, I know. But our scoring is 8X5. Along with the standards, we have singles, doubles and triples as categories. So I concentrated more on hitting, which worked great for me last year. Plus, every time I had a pitcher queued up to draft, he got snagged just before I picked.

bench) Posada, Gomes, Burke, Bartlett (I know he's not a hot pick, but I think he's a decent sleeper)

RP) Lidge
RP) Valverde
bench) Prior, Gagne, D.Cabrera

I've been trying to package Posada and Valverde for a better closer, but other than that, in an 8X5 format....do I have a chance to repeat with this team?

WOW, your hitting is stacked.Miggy,Reyes,Holliday,Beltran so you should be fine with hitting. Even though you said its 8X5 your pitching is horribly weak. You should definetelely add a good #1 starter by trading one of your good hitters and a pitcher for a stud pitcher.

Expect to win this league, you did the right thing picking up all the stud hitters...but howd you get so many??

Last year I drafted pretty good...or got lucky, getting Beltran, Holliday and Reyes much later than they are going now. That was a good start. This years draft, everyone seemed to be either reaching for sleepers, or grabbing starters. So I got guys like Sheffield, Delgado, Chipper and Hunter instead. Had big plans to grab Sheets with my first pick at the end of round one and get some decent pitching, but he got snagged a lot earlier than I expected and I had to scramble for a plan B. Could have been worse I guess.
