Jenks or Lidge: Who should I be more worried about?

I get the award for having the two closers that seem to be imploding completely before the season even starts. I'm just about in full panic mode. Sometimes I overreact. How worried should I be?

I'd be pretty worried, but this is a reasonable chance to make, and taking chances is part of fantasy.

we know when both on Lidge is the better closer has better stuff, both have replacements looking over their shoulder, Ozzie has never been shy about changing things up,

i agre Astros need Lidge to succeed & be Lidge if they are going to do anything, where as Sox can go to macdougal & still be ok

If Jenks struggles early on, you know Ozzie won't put up with it for long.

Yes, there were. I don't have time to look up the numbers right now, but he was not looking good in ST last year. Also, at that time, he wasn't as firmly established, as he had only really been the closer for a couple of months.

Yes that's true, but then he got things turned around come the regular season and got off to a fantastic start until fading.

I don't think he'll get enough save opps this year to warrant the risk. Our pitching staff is slowly getting worse.

While that is probably true, I think part of the problem was that the Sox starters were worn down from pitching so much in the playoffs the year before - most of them were still excellent in the first half of last season, but then wore down around the all-star break. For this reason I've avoided the Tigers and Cardinals starters to the greatest extent possible this year.

He just seems so unpredictable--which is one of the worst qualities for a closer.

I've stayed away from Jenks and targeted Lidge in my drafts.

I only have Jenks because I drafted him as a rookie last year.

I would not choose either, but if I could choose one, it would be Lidge.

He was a great set up guy and if he can forget about Albert Pujols dominating him, he'll be fine.
