Apparently the Mayans accused Mel of being “A racist” and “ignorant” before Mel really had chance to say much of anything. This was while the other Mayans were chanting in Spanish. Mel tried to respond nice at first but then just blew up. Good for him.

Sure maybe the Mayans were right. But they way they brought the issues up when the microphone was handed to them was totally wrong and for that I'm totally with Mel on this one.

Would have done the exact same thing had I been in his shoes.

As soon as the Mayans were escorted out everyone cheered Mel for how he handled the situation... ;-D

It's a damn movie. You know, ENTERTAINMENT. No one said it was based on history or real life events. It is an imagination of a person 2000 years later of what life "might" have been and throw in fiction to make it entertaining.

It's like fraternity guys getting angry at the producer/director of Old School or Animal House for their negative portrayal of fraternities.

Well if Mel had "anger issues" he probably would have stormed out not took questions and talked for another 2 hours after that. ;-D

Make your own assessments from this story but I fear things are being taken WAY out of context.
