As to the DBacks, my #1 concern would be Gonzales's elbow. 1 throw from the outfield and he could be done for the year. The ligament is already torn, how much can it withstand before ripping completely?
Your pessimism is killing me. I do not want another 2002 meltdown because of a Gonzo injury.

Don't worry bell. You can always: watch the games from Friday's out of the corner of your eye, go to the arcade, have a personalized bat made, try the most popular stadium menu item from the team that is beating you or just enjoy all the air conditioning that the Bob has .
After the D'Back's management dropped Matt Williams mid-season, they are going to have to deal with a few years of karma soup. You do not let a guy work his butt off 24/7 to recover from his injury and help the team and then drop him half way through the year.

Sorry. It just doesn't look too bright for Arizona in my opinion.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Hammock, Cintron, Kata, Webb, Valverde .... They are putting way to much reliance on these 2nd year players .... Top that off with Gonzo's injury, Finley ageing and another OF thats has been a career 4th OF to everybody else but Zona ...
C .. Rookie who was on nobodies radar but Brenlys
1st base is Set ... the Big sexy
2nd Base ... Kata .. ??? An aging Baerga ?? SS ..Cintron ... Solid but no star .. so avg. SS
3B .. Truly an avg corner .. in Hillenbrand
OF .. Gonzo .. injured ???
OF .. Finley ...slowly but surely his numbers go down ...
OF .. ?? Bautista again ..... Thats laughale
SP .. RJ ... well its RJ but is he Healthy?
SP .. Webb ..sophmore, enough siad
SP .. Dessens ??? ??? ??
SP .. Another kid ??
SP .. Yet Another kid ???
RP .. Mantei ... no reason to discuss his injury history, right?
RP .. Valvaerde .. solid, but again a sophmore
RP .. Lyon .. young
RP .. Fossum .. young
That Offense was pathetic last sesaon and Jerry C. traded for the ..
as he puts it .. "The three run Homer "
Jerry C. needs all these kids to step up .. "all of them" .. I'm not saying its impossible, hell this is baseball .... I'm saying its improbable .... only one was even rated top 10 as a team prospect by BA ..... its improbable ...

WR, I just want you to know that while I'm eating and watching a Friends re-run that I'll be thinking of you and plotting my "brilliant" (as claimed by critics, not myself) rebuttal which will surely win the hearts of each and every intelligent and passionate board member here who is fortunate enough to lay his or her own eyes on my Napoleon-esque counter-attack.

The Arizona Republic reported the departure of Miguel Batista paved the way for youngsters John Patterson, Andrew Good and Edgar Gonzalez to fill two openings in the rotation. Also, the Diamondbacks expressed interest in free-agent left-handers Darren Oliver and Shawn Estes

future evidence of the babybacks demise ...
Have no fear WR, for I have been planning against such a move by Colangelo, for my militia is set to intervene at a moment's notice. We have already suffered so much with Dessens...
