Just Drafted - WHIR

Postby SweetAurillia » Fri Mar 23, 2007 12:15 am

5x5 H2H 12 Teams

C - Russell Martin
1B - D. Lee
2B - B. Roberts
3B - A. Rod
SS - M. Tejada
Util - H. Kendrick
OF - J. Damon, J. Pierre, J. Francoceur
BN - A. Gordon, C. B. Young, I. Kinsler, S. Victorino

SP - C. Sabathia, S. Kazmir
RP - B. Lidge, Wickman
P - Schilling, Burnett, S. Torres
BN - N. Robertson

My bench is extremely young I know, I regret taking Roberts (4th round) as I didn't anticipate Kinsler falling in the 18th. I know my closers need help but like eveyrone else I'm banking on the WW to save me. Leave a link and your thoughts, thanks.

Since you do have 3 secondbasemen, I would trade one for a closer if possible or maybe Roberts for a bat with some power because I think you could be lacking some in that department. I do think you have a good team mixed with youngsters and some veterans too.

Please help me.

Good call..to get max value from kendrick, you should be playing him at 2B instead of Util....def. trade roberts!

Yah that was the plan. I don't think anyone in my league is that high on Kinsler so I'm probably going to keep him and try to ship Roberts. Who do you guys think I can possibly get for him?

You need a little more pitching depth, and your closer situation is a little shaky with lidge. I personally am not a fan of guys like pierre in H2H league, so i'd trade him if I got good value.

You also may need to upgrade at util(depends on gordon) but overall solid team.

Yah, after the first tier of closers went it was a pretty risky field to draft with all the potential closer questionmarks with most teams. I was just gonna watch the WW very closely and grab me some gems throughout the season.

that's a solid strategy. I think you might shop pierre and roberts to see if you can better fill an area of need by trading them.

Very nice team, a good mix of power and speed.
Agree about Pierre and RP.

You're pitching staff may be a little injury prone too

help plz

In H2H Pierre is more valueable because he can singlehandely win you a category every week. (given that he can also kill your AVG when he's having a bad week).

I agree that you need some pitching help. If you have confidence in Victorino I think you should consider trading Johnny Damon. A package of Damon and Wickman should get you a great closer and a good SP.

If you can trade Alex Gordon, do it. I don't see him dramatically outperforming either Kendrick or Kinsler, and 3B is very deep.

The offense is very well balanced as it is, you're one power bat from dominating.
