How do you exploit an owner who thinks his team is far better than they really are?
the defending champ in my keeper league has the biggest head and now thinks he's gods gift to fantasy.
today he told me that he thought about but wouldn't trade his dunn/connor jackson for my teixeira because he thought teix wouldn't be a big enough upgrade over jackson (once again, his trade idea not mine) i know that he has said that same thing to another owner about that owner's d lee.
i can't wait for the end of the year when teix has 42 homers to jackson's 22 for a good laugh. i'm just thinking there has to be away to take advantage of his arrogance. ideas?

Win the championship.
Some guys have attitudes about their teams, I mean usually it's probably a healthy thing but sometimes people get carried away. Conor Jackson is a nice player, but players with his numbers will be routinely found on waivers throughout his career.
Tex is obviously a couple shades better than Dunn, especially in a keeper league. He's so busy being self-important he doesn't even realize that. Just sit back and enjoy as this buffoon in your league has a slow fall from grace.

LOL
I have no problems with an owner talking some smack. It's all part of the game. At the end of the day it only fantasy....Remember that. I agree if it's making you angry, the most simple solution is to show your skills and win it all!!

The main thing with these kind of guys is they think they are wayyyyyyy smarter than you. That being said, the only way I can think of is to sell players high. Shelton last year would be a great example of that. He sounds like the kind of guy that would significantly overpay for him at the beginning of the year.
The one bad thing about trading with someone like that is how confident they are in their team. They won't trade you anyone unless they rip you off, because they think their team as it is is so amazing.
