According to Rotoworld: The Angels have called a press conference for this afternoon to announce the signing of Bartolo Colon.
Signing Colon should take the Angels out of the hunt for Vladimir Guerrero. However, they could still trade for Nomar Garciaparra if either Jarrod Washburn or Troy Glaus is involved. They also have the money to go get a first baseman, with Rafael Palmeiro and Travis Lee looking like the top two candidates.
Fear the mighty mighty free agent dogs of war, the angels. Think they overpaid quite a bit on Escobar, and maybe a tad on Colon, but you gotta like them trying. Hope that takes them off the Miggy Tejada wagon, but not sure that it does.
If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me.

Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Still need to wait and see how Texas will restructure if the BIG ONE goes through.
