Whats the latest on this guy?

Will he be in the mets OF Mix?
Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!

I'm a big Mets fan. Don't waste a roster spot on him. If anywhere, he'd play RF but they are paying Shawn Green too much money not to play him. Barring a Green meltdown (which is possible), Milledge will be in AAA.

he might make the make the roster because he's playing well this ST but even if he does he's behind so many guaranteed contracts it doesn't matter, he won't play early on in the season. however, he's also behind 2 40 somethings (actually green's 38 or something but you get it) so if they go down, it doesn't matter how much money they're getting, he'll play and i think he'll shine when he gets his next chance.

monitor the situation - that's my advice

I own Milledge in a keeper league and have been watching closely. The rumor now is that he's playing so well and Green is playing so poorly that they may keep Milledge up to start the season since they don't need a 5th starter. He would play a majority of the time and if he can handle it they won't care about Green--most of Green's deal is paid by the Dbacks and the improvement in defense would probably make up for any offensive deficiency. If he struggles then they can send him back down in the middle or at the end of April.
