Stephen drew was BA's #1 prospect before he was called up last year over Delmon.... just food for thought.

Not questioning Drew being better then Greene just mentioning that Greene will be good.
Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!

Yes, do it. take Gordon, Young, Lincecum, Drew and Zumaya.
Is pushing for President Obama to pass a law requiring all citizens to be Chicago White Sox fans and make October 1st "White Sox Day" where we all dress as our favorite player. It maybe socialist, but I don't care.

If you even do this deal, it has to be:

Drew
Markakis
Lincecum
Gordon
Delmon

It seems pretty simple to me.

Well, first I would like to know the keeper structure of the league. This is a draft league, right?

If there is a deep keeper structure for your roster, then I would say DO IT!!! ARod is a great talent, but he's in a powerful Yankees lineup that will spread the stats from 1-9. ARod isn't an island in the lineup anymore, so it's doubtful you will ever see his monster numbers he produced while with Texas.

As far as the 5 players to take...

A Gordon (replace ARod)
S Drew (replace Renteria)
D Young
N Markakis
T Lincecum or A Loewen (depending on whether you want to boost your rotation this year or hold off for the future)

This deal actually helps you both this year and in the long term. In another post, I stated that you might want to look into adding depth and some power to your OF. This trade definitely does that for you with Young and Markakis. Plus you will be able to place 2 young stars on the left side to fill the gaps voided by the proven vets you're giving up. I would definitely jump on this trade.
Jody, Jody Davis. Hits 'em high and far. Jody, Jody Davis. He's a superstar. Holy Cow!!!! http://www.stinkytee.com

Poewn i'd definetly grab the top 3 of:

Delmon Young
Alex Gordon
Stephen Drew

all 3 of them have been the top prospect atleast 1 time in the past 2 years on BA's list atleast(Drew midseason before his call up last year) all 3 have allstar potential in my eyes.

my last 2 would be harder to place since i love everyone you listed... but if i really had to chose i'd grab Markakis as my 4th and it would be really hard between Zumaya and Lincecum for the 5th spot..... but right now i'd take Zumaya who i think is the only RP in the Majors who could have a Rivera type career with his make-up/command/stuff.

I like the deal. See if you can add Khalil Greene and get one more player.

I would do:

Gordon
Zumaya
Young
Drew
Markakis
(Linecum if you can get him to add a player)

I think you have to take Zumaya. I am very familiar with your league, and holds are an important part. Zumaya is just filthy. You have to take Drew because he is a stud.

Well hes had a change of heart & came back with this offer(for the 5 Im sending him)

He offers:
Stephen Drew
Joe Crede
Jeremy Hermida
Carlos Quentin
Tim Lincecum

I asked him if he'd give DYoung instead of Hermida or Quentin(thou i like Quentin, while I have my concerns about hermida)

I realize the deal would leave me with 3 RFs. But I figure I can flip one of them for a LF.

Comments????

Bottom line I look at this deal really as only losing ARod(the other 4 dont concern me)

boo this trade. Tell him if he wants a-rod, you need Alex Gordon and Delmon young. They were the real prize of the earlier deal.
