Braves ink McCann to a 6-year deal + 1 year club option

Saw it on MLB Trade Rumors and followed the link they provided.

So the Bravos get one or two (not sure which; McCann's got 1.5 years of service) additional years of an awsome C plus an option for another year. The price looks right to me, too. ;-D

Wow... He offered them the chance to convert the last guaranteed year to an option year so that they can dump him if he sucks or is hurt.

That's crazy loyalty. 8-o

This is a good deal for McCann too.

Any catcher should jump all over a longer term deal

They can either look into moving him to first...use him as depth...or use him as trading bait.
