First Fantasy Baseball Draft...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last year I couldn’t make my draft and got stuck with a strange team- this year I was able to draft my own team and probably boned myself worse

Anyways, not sure how to best post the team- forgive a newbie if I do this wrong.

The league is a 10 team Rotisserie with pretty standard scoring (from what I am told): AVG, BB, RBI, HR, SB, R for hitters, and WHIP, K, W, ERA, K/9, SVs

C (1): K. Johjima, R. Martin
1B (1): M. Teixeira, K. Youkilis, S. Hillenbrand
2B (1): J. Lugo
SS (1): D. Jeter, J. Lugo
3B (1): A. Rod, C. Figgins, K. Youkilis, S. Hillenbrand
OF (3): C. Figgins, J. Pierre, W. Taveras, B. Hawpe, S. Hillenbrand
Util (1): Anyone

Pitchers (7)
SP: B. Sheets, J. Papelbon, B. Myers, E. Bedard, J. Lester
RP: M. Rivera, T. Saito, E. Gagne, A. Otsuka

I am not sure if I went with too many multi-position players.
Also may have taken a bit too many chances on injured pitchers coming back. I think my strenght will be in Runs and SBs.

If you folks could give any advice it would be great.

Lester was my last pick, more of a hold/sleeper than anything- but he should be starting IMHO.

I know I need more power in my outfield- lots of speed and runs on my lineup, but not enough HRs from the outfielders.

Thanks for any help.

Oh, and on a totally newbie level- what does 5X5 mean?

Thanks again!

I think that you need to add some pop to the lineup. I would drop Shea H. and see if there was say an Alou or someone else a little more consistent out there.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at Alou and figure he would do ok with some of those bats around him at Shea.

Any thoughts on what I should do now that Papelbon has just been moved to closer?

I am a bit heavy on the closer side- not sure if that is a bad thing.
