OK so he came into camp coming off a miserable season with some disease that sapped him of all his power and his organization clearly not wanting him back with the team. He also put on 30 lbs. He is having a pretty good ST and I have him proected to return to at least the 05 level.

What round is he generally going? Are you targeting him? Why? Why not?

I grabbed him in round 8 of a 12 team mock draft before I realized how far his stock had fallen. I got him in round 5 of a 12 team keeper league in which every owner kept 6. So that puts him between rounds 10 and 11. I have my auction draft coming up and I have him targetted at about $13 (11 team $260 cap). We use OBP instead of runs, so he's solid in that format. You're right, there's no reason to expect anything less than his '05 numbers. I have him targetted in every league I join.

His ADP is around 110. I picked him up in my 12 teamer in the 11th with pick 123. Guys like Sexson and Fielder went in the 6th so I think you can get a pretty nice deal on him.

i have him ranked around 100. i'm very skeptical on helton, being helton owner last 2 season. i'd like to stay away if at all possible and take someone like prince fielder over him. he hasn't done much since roid testing and he'll have to put up good #s all over again for me to consider him for fantasy purposes.

I have him ranked 10th among 1st baseman with a 314/93/20/82/2 line placing him 71st overall and greatly exceeding his adp of 103. As long as he doesn't get traded he's one of the guys I'm targeting if I don't get Pujols.

something seems wrong. 33>32>20>15??? sure i guess you can hope for him to hit 20 but i think thats his max. his avg also has gone to the wayside as well .358>.347>.320>.302? everything is going down. not just his power. :-t

i have him right above guys like laroche, swisher, adrian gonzalez, but i cant see myself drafting him. i rather draft a young guy like laroche and is trending upward and hope his power upticks to 35-40 rather than drafting a bounce bakc candidate like helton.

Everything's been going down, Colorado wants to move him, no one wants to pick up his contract.

Sounds to me like he's got all the motivation in the world to have a nice season, and with as far as he's falling in the drafts, he could be a huge steal. ;-D

I snagged him as my back-up first baseman (no DH/Util spot) in the 16th round of a 12-team keeper :-D

He had some stomach disease that caused him to lose a ton of weight last year so you should adjust his numbers accordingly. He is still a lock to hit .300+ and his peripherals suggest he has at least 20+ power.

Yeah, the illness (acute terminal iliatus or something like that) really hurt him in my opinion. He lost 30 pounds, and came back right at the 15 day mark from the DL.
