His floor is probably Jeff Cirillo when he was decent. At worst he ends up a defensively sound, 15 hr a year guy with solid doubles power.
Seriously, we've never seen the guy in the pros. You can't possibly say his bottom end is David Wright (this coming from a guy that doesn't like David Wright).
His ceiling is probably George Brett but with more sock.

i think he's from the Wright, Utley, M Cabrera mold & will be up there with those guys in a couple of years
i think this years Hermida could be Chris Young, just a guess
Most scouts seem to think that he will be somewhere between Scott Rolen and Mike Schmidt. Is there a chance he could be a complete bust. But the chances of that seem kinda slim. This kid was BA's college player of the year in 2005, then jumped straight to double A in 2006 and domianted, winning BA's minor league player of the year. He is the best prospect in Baseball. IF it wasn't for Dice-K i would say that he would be the favorite for ROY.

Delmon has a higher ceiling but Gordon's floor is lower. Yeah, if not for DK, I would think he wins ROY.

Analysis: Gordon, the No. 2 overall choice in the 2005 draft, is Kansas City's top prospect in years. He hit .325 with 29 homers last season at Double-A Wichita and was named Baseball America's minor-league player of the year. The Royals think so highly of him they moved their best hitter from last season, Mark Teahen, from third base to the outfield this season to make room for Gordon. Consider the elite prospect a solid rookie sleeper in all leagues. He could go .300-25-90-90-20 as early as this year.
Funny, until I watched the ESPN fantasy baseball special last night, I always pictured Alex Gordon as being african american, don't know why but I honestly was a little disappointed.
