From Rotoworld today: "Bobby Jenks gave up three runs in his inning of relief Friday against the Cubs.
He walked two and gave up two hits while facing Cubs backups. Jenks is supposed to be healthy now, but he's walked five and struck out just one in four innings this spring. He overcame some serious concerns regarding his status last spring to save 41 games in 2006. As high as his price tag is now, it'd be nice to see a little success in March before investing again". This is on top of some issues with shoulder tightness this spring.....is there something to be concerned about here?

He did this last year also. But with MacDougal there I wonder how forgiving Guillen will be.

I'm a little concerned. I have him in my 12 team league. We still have 3 picks left in the draft. I think I might draft MacDougal as insurance, since we also have holds as a category.
I do like that he's healthy. It would be nice to see him have a couple good outings before the season starts.

If this is the criteria, and having watched MacDougal for a few years.......I'd cut Jenks some slack........but I'm still worried.

I think that Guillen has him sandbag in ST to give him an edge in the season.

Last year, Ozzie was ranting that he was fat and out of shape and not going to close and he ended up w/ a bunch o' saves. I think that we'll see the same. Jenks is young enough to still be figuring things out and however Manny-esque his conditioning (sic?) program may be, he's still big enough to throw some heat when he gets his weight into it.

MacDougal and Burgos are both capable of filling in should he go down. His job isnt that safe

Is there a Burgos on the White Sox? You mean Ambiorix? They were together on the Royals but Burgos is with the Mets and MacDougal is with the White Sox.
