I haven't heard much about this guy going into the season. He's closing for a solid team and has shown the ability to get it done before. He also gives nice K potential compared to some of the other guys going around him (the Corderos, Hoffman, Wickman, etc.).
Then again, his conditioning is questionable, he's got a decent set-up man (McDougal) knocking on the door, and his 2nd half last year was less than inspiring.
I am staying away from Jenks this season, even though I am a White Sox fan. I expect similar numbers as last season. Meaning: a really good first half, followed by a god awful second half. If you are looking for high saves and k's, and are willing to put up with horrible era/whip (for a rp) than he's your man. He's a good option, I just don't want that kind of era and whip from my rp. Among the top 20 RP's from last season, only Lidge had a higher whip and era than Jenks.
Edit: Not that this matters, but I will always love him for being a stud in the 05 WS (even if he does have a drinking problem)

From my drafts, Jenks usual goes around where Hoffman, Street, and Putz go. I'd rather pass on him and his associated risks and take my chances on a Lidge or Francisco Cordero couple of rounds later. And yea he is pretty fat.

So are a million other guys, but the liklihood he ever develops one good enough to throw in an outing is slim to none, then again maybe I should rephrase that, because there's nothing slim about Bobby Jenks.

His second half was really worrisome.I traded him in the off season for Bedard.I just don't trust him, and would somewhat be worried ,if I was a owner.
