The setup market for part time closers, or one-time closers seem to be the only thing getting signed right now. When do the position players get signed?
If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me.

Check our Free Agent Sticky. There are lots of players who have already signed. Just check the 1st page. ;-)

why do all the relievers get paid first? .... it always blows me away ...

Because no one ever gets mad if a team signs a good closer. Have you ever heard someone say:

"Foulke?! Foulke?! Why oh why did we sign another closer? We didn't need him."

Or:

"Shiggy?! Why are we signing bullpen guys? We don't need solid bullpen guys!"
