ESPN Leagues, What A Joke.

Ive been drafting ESPN free leagues, and the competition is horrible. Each team I draft seems to be more stacked than the last. The drafts are filled with the most absurd picks and reaches. In terms of an accurate draft, I find Yahoo to be more accurate. These are my four ESPN teams, does anyone else find ESPN easy pickings.

your teams are very good, but I was expecting to see Pujols reyes and santana on every team the way you were describing them.


I wouldn't say any of your teams are locks. Each one has some suspect players that are either old, or unproven. I was expecting to see can't misses in every spot!

Team 1: Piazza is old. Can he hit in the AL in that lineup? Damon, everyone is waiting for him to fall off the map, C-Pat, is he going to live up to last year (I hope so, I have him on one of my teams). Weeks, should be good, but unproven still. None of your pitchers are top 5, and you only have 3 positional players who are top 5 at their position.

Team 2: I-Rod, Helton, Lugo are all aging fast. I wouldn't count on them to come close to their career numbers. Baldelli and Rios are injury risks. 2 top 5 SP's and the top closer though. Only 2 top 5 positional players here though.

Team 3: your OF is week, and Rollins is your only major SB threat. I like this lineup the leats of the first 3. Your SP is fantastic, and your bullpen is very good.

Team 4: Except for A-Rod and maybe manny, you have no top 5 position players. This is your best overall pitching staff I think.



If these are 10 team leagues, I wouldn't say you are a lock to run away with anything. If these are 14 team leagues, I would be exstatic with your pitching on every single team.

I used ESPN for football this year. Easily half the league didn't even check their teams after the draft. I think a lot of people just use it for draft practice since drafts start almost immediately. If I was bored in class I would just log online and do a draft.
