I watched him several times on TV, and after that first couple of weeks when he hit some HR, that's all he was swinging for. The kid has some real tools, but someone is going to have to teach him some discipline at the plate. He needs to make a bet with Whitey Herzoz where he pays $1 for every fly ball and Whitey pays a buck for every ground ball. His swing has the same problem Jemomy Burnitz has - there's a big hole in it!
I think he starts the season as the #1 2B for the Cards, but I think they are certainly going to be keeping their eyes open for a better option.
From a fielding point of view, he does an excellent job. He has good range and is very quick. Plenty of arm to play 2B.
