well he's now being benched (3rd game of the season). it's looking more and more like he's this year's hermida.

i didn't say that, but he had a dismal spring. then he lost his leadoff spot to drew. now he's being benched. notice a pattern here?

OK, need some opinions on this guy. I know he is full of potential, but is he just off to a slow start or is he pulling a 2006 Hermida on me? Also, any threat of him losing PT to Hairston with Quenton returning? Thoughts on this guy?

Young has potential. Love the 5K/39 AB - it's about 1/8, or 12.5% of the time. This is in line w/ a trend in improving batting eye/reduced K's that he's been following in the minors. If this continues, he could have upside as a 290/30/30 threat in a few years. For this year, 270/15/20 is more reasonable.

much better fantasy potential than hermida - part of the reason that hermida 'pulled a 2006 hermida' is that he was hugely overrated since he only projected as a poor man's jd drew anyway. this guy projects as a solid source of both hr and sb although i don't see any reason to own him right now in a standard sized league as he should probably be a free agent.
