I know my weakness is 1B, so how do I get it better? Starters in BOLD

P- Lackey, C. Cordero, B. Jenks, S. Kazmir, R. Halladay, B. Lidge, J. Smoltz, R. Johnson, F. Cordero
I start all positions and one Utility. Start 7 pitchers can be any type of pitcher.

BBI - Walks Issued (Pitchers) -0.5 points
CG - Complete Games 5 points
ER - Earned Runs -1 point
HA - Hits Allowed -0.5 points
INN - Innings 2 points
K - Strikeouts (Pitcher) 1 point
S - Saves 10 points
W - Wins 10 points

What moves do I make? What pitchers do I target to trade, who do I keep? Help me make this team the Champs!!!!

Curious, but since when does each statistical cateogry count as more than any other. Ive always had it you win your category you get a point, I wasnt aware you could change the values, must not be through yahoo.

Well anyways heres my take:

Hitting wise if HRs are worth 4 you should be fine, you have enough power to satisfy that category. I dont see why everyone dislikes Nick Johnson, he actually is quick for a first basemen and is about the only first basemen who can steal, granted Frankie Robinson is no longer on duty and was the cause of the Nats stealing so much he can nab you some bases. If you truly want a 1B look at Laroche, i couldnt tell you whos in your FA so I cant see the best choice, but hes generally available or Overbay, but Laroache will start everyday, Overbay prolly will split some time.

I tend to wait a week to see how my guys are doing and then add but if your in dire need Laroache is good and Lyle Overbay. Just because they arent big name players doesnt mean they arent good fantasy wise, most people overlook the little guys.

I think 2B is a weakness for you actually. If freel leads off, Phillips would prolly hit #2 and just be used to move him over making him somewhat useless. Some 2B with potential are Kinsler, Ryan Theriot (not starting but if he does pinella will use him to steal alot hes quick), also look at Luis Castillo. I know hes dropping off, Stewart left and he seems the likely suspect to lead off and could get lots of bags and hes always been a top avg hitter.

Pitching wise just keep an eye on Lidge and Francisco Cordero in your staff, both tend to struggle and have high whips and era. Otherwise i like your staff.
