I hate all the ignorance when it comes to PETA. It is a small faction of these people that are the loonies, not all of them. It just seems to be the "in" thing to do to bash them as a whole, but it just frustrates me.
Now, I am completely understand that there is a percentage of these people who are out of their minds, and do stupid things, say stupid things, and get bad publicity for the rest of them. However, that goes for most organizations, but PETA seems to have more polarizing figures than other groups.
So while I am not part of PETA in any way shape or form, and realize that sometimes they may act or say things that are unreasonable, and may even contradict themselves from time to time, I believe their message is correct. I peronally am 100% for the ethical treatment of animals.
Does that mean I'm going to yell at you when you eat a steak? No, I enjoy my steaks as much as the next guy. But if you ask me if I think it is is wrong to abuse an animal, then yeah, I'm with the kooks.

Dennis Leary: "What are you?" Animal #1: "I'm an otter." Dennis Leary: "What do you do?" Otter: "I swim around on my back all day and do cute, little human things with my hands." Dennis Leary: "You're free to go."
Dennis Leary: "Next! What are you?" Animal #2: "I'm a cow." Dennis Leary: "Get on the truck!" Cow: "But I'm an animal. I have rights." Dennis Leary: "You're a baseball glove. Now get on the truck!"
That's all I really need to know about PETA. I definitely agree with the sentiments concerning animal cruelty but PETA's agenda appears to be far, far bigger than that to me.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
