Did you have a first round pick?

Carpenter maybe? Halladay in the 2nd?
If so, I think you are in some trouble for a 10 team league.
I had the 1st pick in a 12 team points league (and my OF does suck), but go Pujols and Halladay in the 2nd and 3rd.

You don't seem to have a stud at any position other than Carpenter (as far as a top 1-2 kind of guy).

But you defintely went big time into pitching.

My advice is to try and make a trade.

Probably Sheets while he is healthy...but you need some help at nearly every position IMO.
Lots of steals, but no power outside of Fielder.

My "try" his time was for pitching and speed, since so many pitching positions available daily in this league, which means so many K points (along with wins, etc.). Speed I was going for because look at the points for a SB.
Was this totally stupid? (In roto, this crazy attempt would pay off, if not winning than top three, but in points am I just stupid?)
THANKS!

I also love Scott Olsen and would try going after him over Nate Robertson.

Looking at it...I overlooked your scoring. That 3 points for a steal is pretty nice.

I still would look to move a pitcher and/or a speed guy for at least one power stud. And first place I would look would be 3rd base. I just don't trust Freel to be very consistent and as deep of a position as it is you may be able to get someone there pretty easily.

Players on WW

Postby dirtywater2 » Tue Mar 20, 2007 9:46 am

If Baldelli is still available on the WW I would grab him up quickly. His splits from last year with 360 AB's were pretty decent. If healthy, he will hit you 20-25 HR, bat .290 - .300, and with that talented team (meaning position players) he could drive in 100 and score 100, and steal you 20-25. I think he is an upgrade over Roberts, as Roberts is a one category player, especially in a points league. Good luck/
