How's it look?

Postby TheGuru » Mon Mar 19, 2007 4:12 pm

Well, here is my team. What do you think of it as a whole? Should ss be a real concern? One guy took 2 ss (Ramirez and Furcal). We've been talking and I could probably get Furcal for Fielder and middle of the road guy; should I pursue it? Should I have any other concerns? Thanks.

It's a solid team. You have a very good mix of power and speed and solid starters. I would consider acquiring furcal if you can get him for fielder.

help me out, http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/foru ... 85#2105685

If you could do Fielder and a "middle of the road" guy, I would do that in a heartbeat. I love Furcal (though that is biased since my acquisition of him last season in a trade was directly connected to my surge to victory).

What do you mean by a middle of the road guy? Peralta? Lowell? Pavano? ANY of those would be fine for you. Fielder is a luxury that you should be able to convert (with Ad. Gonzalez and Gomes on your bench, you can easily replace Fielder).

C M. Piazza - I like Piazza fitting the great hitter moving to DH and being able to regain some past succes. I've caught a few games in my day and I can say it KILLED my knees, calves, thighs, so no doubt in my mind not having to squat will GREATLY benefit Piazza.

3B A-rod - I expect huge things from A-Rod this year, based on the fact that I think it will be a free agent type season. And if A-Rod is anything he's a businessman, he knows how important this could be. He could land maybe a couple more years and similar money.

SS J. Peralta - Stick with him for a bit. He's on the younger side and don't forget 2005's line of 82 runs, 24 HR, 78 RBI, and a close to .300 BA; not bad for a SS.

OF N. swisher - Lead suspect to be on an HGH cycle (Upside is, unlike roids, HGH is undetectable right now) after coing to Spring Training with a few extra L-B's

Uti P. Fielder - He'll be a big part of Milwaulkee's success, will improve a lot this year.

SP R. Oswalt - Not gonna lie, his health SCARES me, he's great but I feel he goes far too early for the risk I think he presents.

SP R. Harden - I expect him to step up and join the long line of good A's starters
SP D. Haren - See above...only a mini version

P A. Wainwright - Wainwright was no where on my radar a week before my draft, but I am intrigued. Kid showed some guts last postseason, maybe it'll translate. It's worth the risk given where I drafted Papelbon for a similar situation.

BN D. Lowe - As a Sox fan I am still a Lowe fan and wish we still had him. He'd have been the best pitcher on our staff last year with the defense we had. Alas he's on the Dodger, but I still think he's an AWESOME value.

BN C. Pavano - Not worth the pick to me

BN An. Sanchez - Again as a Sox fan not pleased to see this guy lighting up the NL East instead of the AL East. Great upside guy.

As for the trade...let Prince establish himself a bit before you make any deal like that, if he's hot go for broke if Peralta is hurtin. I think Peralta deserves a shot to prove himself before you give up a player like Prince
